Fake news is a hot topic, but surprisingly, many college students struggle to decipher the difference between real and fake news in their daily lives. This session will include a background on fake news and the research surrounding college students' needs for more formal informational literacy sessions surrounding information evaluation. The librarians will share the freely available resources they used to build the foundation for their fake news information sessions and discuss how they incorporated their findings and resources into their sessions.
